A Look Towards the Year Ahead

2021 has been a big year for us here at Marketing Juice! Between winning awards, moving into a new space, and growing our team, we’ve definitely had to stay on our toes. We’ve won Best Marketing Agency in Cuyahoga Falls for the third year in a row, been named a Clutch Top Marketing Company in Ohio, been ranked in the top 30 digital marketing agencies in the Cleveland area, and won Best SMB Digital Strategy Agency in Northeast Ohio. 

We wouldn’t have been able to accomplish all of this without staying on top of marketing trends! But what’s coming next?

Podcasts are Getting Bigger

Marketing Juice has been at the forefront of podcast marketing for the past few months (you can check out our podcast here!). The adoption of podcasting has been relatively low in 2021, but in 2022 we expect that they will continue to gain traction. 

Podcasts are a great way to put out educational content for your target audience. For example, we began The Squeeze Podcast in order to help small business owners learn how to take control of their marketing strategies while they continue to build up their business. 

Starting a podcast for your company can also help you reach a more targeted audience than typical social media marketing can. After all, if someone finds your podcast, it’s likely because they were searching for the specific topic you cover. Podcasts are also a great way to reach younger audiences who tend to be on the go and may not have the time to read a more traditional article or even watch a video.

Jump on the Short-Form Video Train

As platforms such as TikTok, Instagram Reels, and the new Shorts feature on YouTube gain traction, it’s becoming more important than ever for brands to get involved. Like podcasts, these platforms will give your business a new way to interact with a new audience. You can also share your Instagram Reels as a post in your feed, so these can also be a great way to get more social content out there! 

TikTok is also an especially effective platform to use if you’re looking to drive up views or engagement. There are plenty of trending sounds, hashtags, and effects that are sure to get your videos onto For You Pages everywhere! 

The best part about podcasts and short-form videos is that this is marketing you can do yourself! In fact, it’s actually better that you do it yourself rather than having an agency do it-- after all, part of the appeal of TikTok and Instagram Reels is that they allow your audience to get to know your company on a more personal level.
